MYSTERIOUS

‘MAN AND THE
ITEM’
GUESS THE
ITEM...?
A man in all black walking, the camera by his
side, angled near his feet, watching him stride. He reaches an unknown store. The bell of the door rings as he enters...
He walks determinedly to the counter, camera
still angled at his feet watching his shoes treading heavily on the floor. He
stops, and says “I’ve come to pick up the
item. Is it ready?”
A loud rustle is made as the store owner finds
and hands the mysterious man something. (This
something is unseen by the viewer due to camera angle which will be behind the
mysterious man, possibly through a ‘CCTV’ camera). He places the item in the
briefcase and exits the shop.
The camera follows the briefcase through London,
on the underground, boarding a bus, walking through canary wharf, through a
deserted park, maybe a mysterious car park. He’s striding to an unknown
destination. The viewers’ imagination builds on what could possibly be inside.
He finally arrives at a door, enters, removes his
coat, and sits down in an arm chair. Places the briefcase in front of him and removes
his gloves. The angle of the camera rolls around to behind the case, and we see
the mystery mans’ face. He’s serious yet neutral. Looks at the case, unlocks it
and lifts the lid dramatically. He looks at its contents, the lid hiding it
from the viewers.
He closes the lid and reveals his hand to be
holding a toy aeroplane. The serious face transforms into a huge smile. Soo
giddy and happy as a child. “Oh yessss” he nods and begins to play.
Soaring the plane through the air, making noises with his mouth.... the camera
freezes.
The words ‘Where’s YOUR inner random?’ come up on
the screen.
